About Robinson Nature Center
Robinson Nature Center is a unique nature education facility with interactive exhibits, native plant gardens, wooded trails with views of the Middle Patuxent River, a children's Discovery Room, an outdoor Nature Place and a planetarium. Annually, the Center offers hundreds of public programs, as well as special events, field trips, birthday parties and scout programs. The facility, itself, is a LEED platinum green building.
Opened in September 2011, the Center was made possible by the generosity of James & Anne Robinson. Our mission is to bridge the gap between people and nature and facilitate the enjoyment and understanding of natural resources. The Center is owned and operated by Howard County's Department of Recreation & Parks.

my family had a nice visit here. the kids were occupied with the exhibits. on display there were turtles, a corn snake, and a frog. there were also artifacts such as Indian head arrows and pottery. there were taxidermy animals such as bears and foxes. my grandkids enjoyed the discovery room where they put on a puppet show. there's a lot to do if you take your time. outside there were trails leading to a small stream and the patuxent river. the area we went to was unaccessible so I'm not sure if there's a spot to actually get in the water. we seen many butterflies and deer. there is plenty of parking and the staff were really friendly. we're looking forward to visiting in the fall and next spring. it's $5 for adults and $3 for kids 3 to 17. they also have a little gift shop.

I wasnβt quite sure what to expect when I visited. At first, I couldnβt tell if it was a park, a museum, or something in between, but I decided to give it a try and Iβm glad I did. Itβs a nice place to explore, especially if you have kids. There are different things to see, and itβs a fun way to spend some time together. My favorite part, though, was the short walk to the lake. It was peaceful, quiet, and there was hardly anyone around, making it the perfect spot to take a relaxing walk and enjoy a few moments to yourself. Overall, itβs a nice little place to visit if youβre looking for something different and a bit of tranquility.

Not worth the entrance fee. Way less stuff to enjoy in the play room. The bee exhibit has been gone for years. Nothing interesting. Same old, boring. The staff made rude comments, assuming my children were unattended when I was staying right there but they could not see me. Bizarre. They should be trained on how to interact with children and parenrs, it is obvious they are not. We were inside for maybe 15 mins, trying to get my money's worth. I want my money back or tickets to visit again for free I almost ask the young men but knew it would be a tricky interaction. What do you say? This visit was really sad and ridiculous.
